Household Appliance Sales and Service Co. started in 1972 as SASCO Branch 80 (Sunbeam Appliance Service Co., a division of Sunbeam Corp. in Niles, Il.). As testament to their employee care, they still have some of the original staff working with them today. Sunbeam's home office and factory were originally located in Chicago. It was the largest Sunbeam servicer in the country. Sunbeam has since changed ownership and location, but are still in the suburban Chicago neighborhood where they started. Jarden still provides nationwide Sunbeam and Oster services and new products at that facility and has been doing so for over 32 years now. |
